In a statement released by his media office in Abuja, Turaki, a former Presidential Aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stated that:
“On this auspicious day, which is the Ed il Fitr festival, We Muslims are to pray to Allah for giving us the Holy Quran and express our gratitude for everything we have. At this festival, Muslims and their loved ones should get together and celebrate this joyous moment.
He also urges all Muslims to reflect and pray for the progress of our dear nation, Nigeria, as we are approaching a crucial crossroad, which is next year’s general election.
“It is my deepest prayer, that as we all celebrate this year’s Ed il Fitr, the Almighty Allah continues to guide, preserve and protect us all and continue to bless us and our country abundantly.
Happy Eid il Fitr Nigerians. I wish us many happy returns in peace and prosperity.
