In a statement released by his media office in Abuja, Turaki, a former Presidential aspirant who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that Easter was another opportunity for people of the Christian faith to be their brothers and sisters keepers, work towards the peace and unity of Nigeria, and pray for the development of the nation.
“I wish all my brothers and sisters of the Christian Faith who are celebrating today a very Happy Easter.
“Today is a day when we must all reflect on and pray for the way forward for our dear nation, Nigeria. This is because, as we approach a crucial crossroads, which is next year’s general election, we must all ask the Almighty God, whose reasoning surpasses our understanding, for guidance on the way forward.
“It is my deepest prayer, that as you all celebrate, and we of the Muslim faith celebrate with you, we shall all work together to build a nation that we and our children can all be proud of.
“Happy Easter my friends!” Turaki said.
