Former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, on Wednesday, called on Nigerians to remain hopeful for a better year in 2021 despite the challenges witnessed in the year 2020.
This is even as he congratulated Nigerians for the resilience demonstrated in the face of a myriad of challenges that characterized the nation and indeed the world in the year 2020.
In a New Year message issued by the former minister, he said that citizens must be proud of themselves as survivors of the hazards of 2020 and look forward to better days ahead.
“As we celebrate a new year, I congratulate my fellow Nigerians across the nation on this significant feat. 2020 has been a year that has tested the best of us, yet we are, as a nation of great individuals.
“Many challenges characterized the year 2020, Nigerians had a tough year, but have survived despite all odds.
“As we begin this New Year, we should all pray that it will be better, joyous, and prosperous.
“We must all work towards strengthening our bonds of friendship and togetherness, to build strong relationships and bridges of friendship across the various divides.
“As Nigerians, this year, let us all realize and appreciate that for bringing us together, Almighty God has a purpose for us as a people, and as a country.
“We must therefore work together to realize God’s purpose for us. Happy New Year to you and your families,” the former Minister said.
